With 110 km of slopes, 30 modern lifts and an altitude ranging from 600 to 2,020 metres, Nassfeld is Carinthia's largest and most versatile ski area – and thanks to its special microclimate, one of the most snow-reliable in the Alps.
The lifts start right on the Austrian-Italian border. Many slopes offer a stunning view all the way to the Adriatic Sea. Lift tickets are available as day, multi-day or season passes; with the "Top Ski Pass Carnia" you can also use the neighbouring Italian ski areas.

The BOBO kids' club
Nassfeld is particularly family-friendly: several large, fenced kids' areas with conveyor belts, magic carpets and practice lifts ensure safe first turns. The BOBO kids' club with its penguin mascot accompanies children through the ski day.
Tip: The Madritsche has Carinthia's longest summer toboggan run – in winter it doubles as a snow-sure sledding route.
Weißbriach & Weissensee – relaxed alternatives
Not every ski day has to be at Nassfeld. Two worthwhile alternatives are just a short drive away.
The perfect ski area for kids and beginners
About 20 minutes by car from the Kaufhaus Wiedenig lies the small, charming family ski area of Weißbriach in the Gitschtal. With gentle slopes, short lift rides, its own practice area and very fair prices, it's ideal for first turns, children and returners.
While experienced skiers explore Nassfeld, the little ones can learn calmly at Weißbriach – no crowds, plenty of safety. More info: nassfeld.at/Weißbriach
Ice skating on Europe's largest natural ice surface
About 25 minutes by car you reach lake Weissensee – one of the cleanest mountain lakes in the Alps and a magical place in winter. The ca. 6.5 km² natural ice surface is Europe's largest, offering unique opportunities for ice skating, curling and ice sailing. On a stretch of up to 25 km you can glide over crystal-clear ice – an experience you won't forget.
